A new book and some new bling

Yesterday we hung out for the majority of the day.  We had to go buy new tires, yuck, and the weather was gloomy and rainy, double yuck.  So we hung out inside for most of the day, and I was ok with that! 
We go go go, all of the time, especially in the summer, so I was good with relaxing!

I love nap time!  Especially when I get to cuddle with these two cuties!


After daddy left for work, Meme and Ben came over to take me to pick up the car and then we headed to the book store.  I’ve heard a lot about this book, so I wanted to try it…

So far it has not disappointed.  A whole other blog and confessional coming soon for this!!

We started today off slow. We all got baths and packed up and fed (with 2 children, 4 if you count my husband and the dog, it takes a lot of time and work to get OUT of the house!!) and then headed to get little Finley girls ears pierced!  I really felt bad about it and even questioned doing it.  At 4 months is when we got Mia’s done and she has never fought me about them and they have never been infected, so I figured it was best to go ahead and do them now.  She won’t remember and I will be able to clean them perfectly!
So we went with it.

FYI: We were parked and hanging out in the car while daddy went in the store.  No, we do not let our children ride like this and Mia is always required to wear her seatbelt the right way.

So sad, but literally 30 seconds later, she was fine and smiling!
We next went to eat at Marks Feed store, where Mia ate an entire cheeseburger, fries, green beans and a corn muffin!  I swear I don’t know where she puts it all in that skinny little body!!


The girl LOVES some food!  She eats as much as a teenage boy!  And the thumb?  Totally UNprompted.

We finished up our wild and crazy Saturday night with a grocery trip!  I know, I know.  Don’t be jealous!  However, it was THE perfect time for grocery shopping!  So peaceful and pleasant.  Apparently, everyone else in the world had more fun things going on.  We must have missed that memo.

Honestly though?  I enjoy every minute spent with my little family, even if it is at the grocery store :)

I decided to do an in home, mommy photo shoot with my girls today!  I am so in love with them and think they are such gorgeous girls, I wanted to play with my camera, with the best subjects in the world!

Such a blessed mommy!

One liners

Like a tweet, or a Facebook status update.  **Except more than 140 characters.**
Since I am on a Social media fast, that is what this post will consist of.  All of the one liners that I usually tweet or put on Facebook.
Ready?  Here we go.

So, I think my girls are in love.  And I kind of love that.




My smallest child is now sleeping about 6-9 hours at night!!  And when she does get up, I lay her in bed beside me and she nurses right back to sleep for a couple hours!
Yes, little lady, that is how I feel about that too…



Mia has been acting like a dog lately.  Like, an Academy Award type of acting.  Mia-dog sits, lays, shakes, stays and fetches (better than our real dog, actually).  Recently, she took her performance to a whole new Jennifer Lawrence level.  She crawled over to the real dog bowl, put her face in it, and lapped up the slobbery-backwash-dog saliva filled water.  And she didn’t even get any money.


Poppy came over to visit the other day and I caught him cuddling and dancing with Finley.  He was dancing to “Believe” by Brooks and Dunn.  My heart melted.

I’ve been working out, doing boot camp/cross fit type of exercise.  It is hardcore and intense and I feel like I may die while doing it, but?  I LOVE IT!  I have been doing it for about 2 weeks and have already lost 4lbs!!  I also have gained some battle wounds.  Bruised knees from burpees and callused/blistered hands from pull ups (no I can’t do a pull up, YET!), kettle bells and tire swings.

Speaking of exercising, our friends Dana and Brandon, are the ones who got us started on this type of exercise.  They have been doing it for a year and have seen major progress in their strength and bodies.  Although I curse them throughout the workout, I love them afterwards ;)  HA!

Mia’s 4th, FOURTH, birthday party is this Saturday.  What the what?  How am I even old enough to have a FOUR year old?  My baby is getting so big, old.  However, she can be EIGHTY FOUR, and still be my baby girl!
