Spring is in the air

This weather around here is such a tease.  Today we had 70 degree temperatures, but tomorrow is only supposed to be around 45.  Boo.
However, the 70 degree weather?  Brings so much life out of me.  I get so much energy flowing and so much motivation!  So today, we did some cleaning and lots of playing!
Our back yard is fenced in, so while I was cleaning, Mia and Sam were outside playing and jumping and running.  Running lots of built up “sillies” out!  Every few minutes I would peek out the glass door (that was open the whole time) and check on Mia.  One time she came running in with her little hands clasped and showed my her very first ladybug she had caught!  She was so proud and was talking to it, saying “It’s ok ladybug!”

A few minutes later, I was checking on her and saw her bent down beside the deck picking weeds  “flowers.”  She came running up the steps and told me “Mommy!  I picked you a flower!”

And then my heart melted.  My very first picked flower from my sweet big girl.

Once the cleaning was done, we went outside and played!

On the mend…

Finally!  After FIVE days of stomach flu, dehydration, weakness, terrible appetite aversion and ZERO energy, I am back to normal!  We decided today we would just hang out and I would give this house some much needed disinfecting and tender loving care.  But first, we got a surprise visit from Meme and Poppy!
Meme had to work all day yesterday, so she wanted to come visit her favorite little lady, and we always love to see her :)  And poppy too ;)

We had some pretty snow flurries to look at out of our back door.  I’m not one for the cold weather, but at least if it has to be cold, bring on the snow!

Like mother, like daughter! HA!
I caught up on all the laundry, disinfected and organized, so then it was on to bath time..

And this girl?  Has the beauty routine of a princess ;)  Imagine that!

Follow all of that up with some craftiness and reading and our night is complete!

Unfortunately daddy had to go back to work tonight and we miss him terribly.  We loved having him home every night for the past week!  Love you daddy!

Happy Birthday Jesus!!!!  This is what we had waiting for us when we went into her room this morning!

Unfortunately after this we had to leave for a little bit because Uncle B got sick, on Christmas, and we had to take him a Ginger Ale and a Phenergan.  We left our little grumposaurus with Nana to get a little nap!
cmas16
She has just been so exhausted with these past couple of days of non stop action!
Once we got back we went to Dave’s aunt Terri and Uncle Charlie’s house for our family Christmas!

We had such a wonderful Christmas!  We were surrounded by our families, whom we love dearly, had lots of good food and opened special gifts for Jesus’ Birthday!  We are truly blessed beyond what we deserve!
It is very humbling and gives an overall sense of warm fuzzies when you sit back and just observe everyone you love, all under the same roof, spending time together.  It makes my heart swell with love and gratitude for each and every one of them!
We hope you had a very blessed Christmas as well!
