My little Mia is on Spring Break this week! Today we spent time with two of her very favorite girls ever!

I hope and pray Mia can stay friends with these sweet girls forever. There is nothing better than childhood friendships! Plus, I kind of love their mommies, too ;)
We’ve just been hanging out, doing the usual the past couple of weeks. School, work, playing, eating, cleaning, etc. The typical family/mom life. But ya know what? I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. Being a mom is the best job in the world!
My sweet angel baby…
We told her to go clean her room, and not to come out until it was done. It was awfully quiet, so I went in to check on her. Sweet girl just crawled up in her bed for a nap! And I had to pull the covers back to take the picture, because she was completely under them.
Mia was using her imagination and got her two dolls, an Elmo chair, her toy story placemat and some blankets. She set it all up like this…
She said her babies were watching Toy Story on TV. HAHA! Creative little girl :)
This girl has started with this whole I think I’m gonna assert my independence on you and selectively choose what I eat, and it must be a carb or starch thing. It’s driving me CRAZY! Mia has, for the most part, been a fantastic eater. She will sit around eating a bag of carrots, no dipping sauce. She gets excited about eating an apple. But my little one, who used to eat anything I put in front of her, is all of a sudden refusing to eat the good stuff!

So, because this momma is super anal about her kids diets, drastic times call for drastic measures! HA! I will beat her at her own game!

My little love muffin also got her first boo boo. I was at work and daddy said Mia was holding her hand walking and Finley fell right into the door frame! My poor girl! Of course as soon as I got home, I started assessing her and her bump! And then I had to take a picture for documentation and to send to Dr. Kim, just to make sure ;)
(3-28-14) It’s kind of hard to see here, but you can see the purple color, right smack in the middle of her forehead. It may be the first, but is definitely not the last!!

One last thing. Mia and I just finished reading through her Jesus Story book bible. When I think she’s not paying attention to me or listening, she totally surprises me. I’m so impressed by this kid…
I worked this morning and then when I got home, Daddy went to work and Finley took a nap, so the big girl and I went outside and played! These little “teaser” days are really making me crave the spring and summer so much more!

I am so thankful we have a swing set and trampoline in our back yard! We get SO MUCH use out of them!
Our sweet little fur child got ahold of one of Mia’s “magic ears” and destroyed the ear mold (only the mold and not the actual aid, thank God!). So we had to get new molds made. This time, she chose purple sparkles!

This past Friday, Meme came over and Finley was so excited she took 6 unassisted steps to her! Since then, she has been doing 3-6 steps at a time.
BUT TONIGHT at about 7:00 pm on the day after her 14 month birthday??!!! SHE WALKED!!!! Meme was over visiting and we were sitting in the floor talking and she took 13 steps!! After that, she just kept going. There is no stopping her now!
This is bittersweet…
Part of me is so proud and wants to cheer her on and the other part of me wants to push her down and make her stay my little baby!!! Why, why, why does time have to go so fast??
Yesterday we started the day out by eating some yummy BBQ and going to the park to enjoy the gorgeous day!

We had a great family day and ended with a perfect and super cheap date night, right in our back yard. In our comfy clothes. Absolutely perfect.
This morning we went and picked Mia up and went to Party City to get her birthday party décor and then to Target.
