Boo at the Zoo

I think I've made myself pretty clear in the past that I'm not a huge fan of Halloween.  But, Dave likes it and I can't deny them opportunity to dress up and trick or treat.  At least a few times.  But, I refuse to spend lots of money on costumes ;)

Any way, since Mia is really into Wizard of Oz right now, she obviously wanted to be Dorothy.  And she could totally pull it off.  Finley?  A cute little monster!!

Who knew Dorothy has so much sass?!

I feel like I did a pretty good job in the whole "kid making" department ;) LOL

How cute is this little monster?!

Dorothy, with Dorothy and the WoO cast!

Dorothy and Tinkerbell

Oh my little minion...

YAY, Cinderella!

She was so excited to see Olaf and gave him the biggest hug!

Toward the end of the night, she was exhausted and tired of smiling, but she still got to see Elsa and Anna!

We had a blast with our favorites!

This new face

Just because it's cute, for now.  Introducing Finley's "mean face"....

I mean, it's cute.  Especially at first!  HAHA

Hilarious.  Remind me of that when she is 15, or 5, for that matter.

And then she follows it up with this sweet face...

I could seriously squish her.

Such a hoot.

Picking pumpkins with our pumpkins!

Finley and I had a play date with friends at the pumpkin patch today!  The weather was perfect, I got to bond with the little and have adult, girly conversation ;)

Mommy and the baby.  Love her little self so hard.

Last day of chemo, EVER!!!!!!!!

Y'all?!  My boy had his final week/day of his chemo regimen today!!!!  He has come so far and conquered SO much and I am SO proud!  From 5 rounds of five days of straight poison running through his blood, to an extensive 9 hour surgery, he handled it all like a champion, but that's not a surprise at all.  The bone with the tumor that was removed from surgery came back 100% DEAD.

Yes, DEAD.  All.of.it.  GOD IS SOOO GOOD.

I am so thankful for this strong, courageous man.  Love him more than life!!

While it was not fun while it lasted, hope to NEVER see any of those people again!  At least not in the same situation :)

A very well deserved treat!!

Mexican food and a tall beverage for the celebration!!

Praising the Lord for miracles!!!

They CAN be sweet

Sometimes, in the everyday moments, when I am at my wits end, elbow deep in laundry and attitude, I overhear some sweet sounds coming from my two girls.  When I get closer I see this...

And I heard Mia teaching Finley how to pray to Jesus.  She was telling her how to fold her hands and talk to Jesus and tell Him about what they are thankful for.

When I think I am ruining my children, and am not providing them with what they need, Jesus sends me what I need.  All I need to do, is point them to Him, and they will have everything they ever need.

In this reality check, I am super thankful for this moment!

Blood work

As daddy is in his FINAL round of chemo (!!!!), we are tackling Mia's thyroid labs, just us girls.  And the girls I've got tagging along with me?  Are pretty dang cute, if I do say so myself...

Oh.My.Word.

Finley, give mommy a kiss...

Both girls did SO good!  Mia didn't even cry when they drew her blood (that's a first!)!
